Smothered Pork Chops


 Meat - Pork - Smothered Pork Chops

I developed this recipe when I was on my own and wanted to have some.  My mother used to make them when I was a kid so I played around a little bit and came up with this:


What you will need:

1          lb.        Pork Chops

1                      onion sliced

Seasoned Flour – just make sure it is salted properly

Milk with sugar dissolved in

1-2       TB        Dark Miso

1          tsp       Ground Oregano



What you do:

1. Cook the onions in a deep frying pan for about 10 min. on med. High

2. Soak the Pork Chops in the milk for about ½ hour or more

3. Dredge chops in flour mixture and brown in separate pan

4.Put chops in pan with onions

5. Mix miso with water and pour over chops till covered

6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hr
